Southern Sanitarium would like to congratulate the winner of the 2024 Garage Days with Hardwired contest, Roger Leach! The original plan was for Hardwired to play in his garage, but since Roger and his lovely wife, Kim, live in Oregon, they decided instead to fly him to Clearwater for a weekend of fun and Metallica!

Hardwired played a show Friday night in Port Charlotte, Florida, at Bert’s Black Widow Harley-Davidson and the Twisted Fork. On Saturday night, we drove back up to Clearwater Beach, where the guys played at Bert’s Barracuda Harley-Davidson. On Sunday, Sean and Chris from Hardwired treated Roger and Kim to breakfast before they headed to the beach for the day.

It was a fantastic weekend for all, and I’d also like to thank the guys of Hardwired for being such gracious hosts. Thank you, Chris, Steve, Sean, and Joey—you guys rock!

Will you enter the contest this year? I can’t think of a better party than Hardwired coming to your house to play in front of all your friends and family—except maybe them bringing you to Florida for the weekend!

The 2025 Garage Days Contest will be announced soon, and all donations go directly to Metallica’s All Within My Hands foundation.
